About Me
I was born and brought up in south-east London, moving to Sevenoaks at the age of six, where I lived for ten years. I moved to Lincolnshire and finished my education, then moved back to London when I joined the Metropolitan Police in 1970, working in south east and central London for 32 years.
I have driven a car and motorcycle for over thirty years, and improved my driving skills on various courses at Hendon Police Driving School.
My wife and I have lived in Blackheath and Bexley, but we like Bromley Common so much that we have been here in the same house since 1977. On retiring from the police I decided I needed fresh challenges so, in April 2003, I became a driving instructor with Learner Driving Centres, one of the biggest driving schools in the country.
Living here on the southern edge of Bromley enables me to operate over a fairly wide geographical area ranging from Mottingham and Sidcup in the north to Shirley in the west to Sevenoaks in the south.
